What goes into the score
- 1.Citation frequency. How often the brand appears across a defined set of target queries.
- 2.Citation quality. Primary source vs. secondary mention vs. brief reference.
- 3.Entity accuracy. Whether the AI describes the brand correctly, with the right services, location, and positioning.
- 4.Share of voice. How the brand stacks up against named competitors in the same answers.
- 5.Engine coverage. Visibility across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews, weighted by audience.
Why a single score
AI visibility is messy. Five engines, hundreds of possible queries, citations that come and go week to week. A composite score gives leadership one number to track over time, the same way Domain Authority gave SEO a shared language a decade ago.
Underneath the headline number sits the detail: which queries, which engines, which competitors, and which fixes will move the needle next.
