The seven-step playbook
- 1.Lock the entity. One Organization schema, one canonical name, one set of facts. No duplicates.
- 2.Define the people. Founders and key roles as Person entities, linked to the Organization.
- 3.Publish authority pages. Defined-term pages on every concept that matters in your category.
- 4.Write atomic answers. Each section should answer one question completely, so an AI can quote it without context.
- 5.Match facts across the web. Same description, same location, same services on LinkedIn, Crunchbase, directories, and press.
- 6.Earn trusted references. Citations from sources AI already trusts: media, industry publications, Wikipedia-class sources.
- 7.Measure monthly. Track citations across engines, watch for regressions, and prioritise the next fix.
What does not work
Stuffing keywords, spinning blog posts at AI scale, buying directory links, or hiding text in JavaScript-only pages. AI engines reward clarity and punish noise. The brands that disappear are the ones still chasing 2015 SEO tactics.
